Hey! I'm so excited to finally be able to blog! Sorry there were a few complications with geting started but, anyways here I am! (: Just to start off - I want you to get to know me a little bit better than from just reading my profile. Currently, I am a student at the Bergen County Paramus Campus of Berkeley in my second quarter of my first year. Studying Health Care Services Administration, I have completed a few courses.
Berkeley is absolutely great for me, its not jam packed like other schools and is very personal to the point where its one and one. The staff is very welcoming and dedicated to helping you and your needs. Not only in the amount of time they spend with you reaching the goal but how they speak to you and keep in contact with you. I also promise they will remeber you and say hello when you are walking past in the halls! They are really that down to earth!
Last quarter I had a Anatomy class, the professor was probably one of my favorite teachers I've ever had. He was not only well educated ( of course ) and tought the class in a professional manner, but he also spoke to us as everyday people with an open mind. He was understanding and funny. I am def. going to look up what other classes he teaches for next quarter.
As a student that went from high school in 2006 to Bergen Community College and than to Berkeley I am very satisfied. Also, very proud of my choice in the transfer here. (: I hope my blogs and interests inspire you and help you with classes, events, etc.
In school everything for me is fine. As for the working field not so good. As we all know jobs are hard to find and lay-offs are common now a days. Well, I guess you catch where this is going.
:[ After 3 years of working at the same place, that time had come. Wasn't expecting it but what can you do? I was working in the same field that I am studying, I can only hope and apply my experience best I can to my studies to better my future.
After speaking with staff to get my blog on, (: I was taken down to Career Services where I found myself meeting a very nice woman and explained my situation to. We discussed a few options and things to work on and I left with a smile and best of all, HOPE.
If your in the same or simular situation - go down and check out the Career Services Department! It will make a difference, I promise.
